For any business, large or small, it is important to choose the right type of packaging for your products. If you are a new business, it is even more important, as money can be tight but you also want to make the best impression first time. Here are some top tips to consider when choosing your new custom packaging.
There are many packaging companies out there so it is important to choose one that will deliver on their promises. Before you commit, take some time to read their references and testimonials.
However, it is also worth working with a packaging company that is an expert in the field that you need. They will know what does and does not work.
Consider this: you have a knee issue and you need a doctor that you have to pay for. Would you choose the doctor who specialises in knees or the doctor who worked on all joints? You’d choose the knee doctor because you would know that by them niching, they would know so much more than the generic doctor. And in many cases, you may even spend more for that specialised expertise.
It is the same with packaging. We specialise in custom packaging so it makes sense to choose us if this is what you need. We manage the whole process for you too – from concept and design to manufacture; an end to end process that makes your life easier.
With all packaging and print – the more you order the lower the unit price. With this in mind consider how many you need as this may well affect the price. Be careful though, as you don’t want to order too many and be left with them – especially if the packaging is for a special occasion or a promotion.
To get the best quote you will also need to have an idea on the finish, the size, and the amount in each box – but don’t worry because we can advise you every step of the way.
We know our stuff so it is worth getting all our advice on size and material, as well as the overall design. We have worked on lots of projects so will be able to steer you in the right direction. Asking questions is also a great way to discover if we are a good fit for your business; we will always be honest with you about what would work best.
When you are further down the design stage, spend some time getting feedback from your team and from your customers. Ask them whether they like it, or give them a couple of options to choose from. Remember to always dig into the why of their response and ask what would they change.
Most importantly listen to their answers You may love it but if your end-user doesn’t then it won’t get the results you want.
We are all about creating those WOW moments for your customer and giving them an experience on receiving the end product. But we are also firm believers that when you start out it is a fine balancing act between getting you to stand out as a new brand but keeping it simple at the same time. Often you don’t need to re-invent the wheel, instead choose a mechanism that we have created before but add your branding and messaging.
Of course, if you want something new, we are here for you!
